Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk to have rematch in December

Oleksandr Usyk has beaten the likes of Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua twice, Daniel Dubois and most recently Tyson Fury in May of this year. Fury has been eyeing a rematch ever since, in which he could defeat his opponent. Fury, the bigger and presumably stronger man, outclassed the boxer in the first half of the fight before Usyk turned the tide with a brutal attack in the ninth round that seemed to momentarily bring the 'Gypsy King' to his feet as he stumbled across the ring before collapsing to the floor. With the win, Usyk joined Terence Crawford and Naoya Inoue as the only male fighters to hold undisputed status in two weight classes in the four-belt era, having previously held the undisputed title at cruiserweight.

Coming from a long line of boxers, Tyson was trained from an early age to become the boxer you see today. He began boxing more formally at the age of ten, with his father always by his side. It didn't take long for him to rise to the international amateur level, becoming the EU Junior Champion in May 2007 and the ABA National Champion in 2008, before turning professional later that year at the age of 20. The two-time heavyweight boxing world champion is unbeaten in 35 professional fights, with a draw with Deontay Wilder in 2018 and a loss to Usyk the only blemishes on his resume. He has more than 11 million followers on social media. Fury was featured in a Netflix documentary series about his life outside the ring. The series has been renewed for a second season after debuting in 2023.

Their rematch is important not only for Saudi Arabia, which is actively developing the sport, but for the entire global community.
